Versus: Wellington United
Result: 3-0 Win
We started the season at Happy Valley with a new team and a new coach Geoff Glazebrook. We have a mixture of old first team players, Hendo's team and a couple of young players (to bring the average age down)...
We didn't get off to a good start with 3 of the car loads getting flashed by the speed camera round the corner for the park. Aaron Passmore won the toss and we decided to play with the howling gale, we went on to be all over them the whole 1st half without
really challenging their keeper and were really relieved to put one away before half time.
After a few good words from Geoff and senior players we managed to come out and score 2 goals within the first 10mins which were
much needed goals going into the wind.
The rest of the game was a battle with the wind with us spending quite a bit of time getting the ball out of our own half.
but the result was never in doubt.
With the football we played, bring on a nice day at Delaney!
